Also this idea that we must support everything a woman does is nonsense. I have no idea where it came from.
Absolutely agree we don’t have to support everything a woman does. But I’m still confused why people are mad about Mindy losing weight.
Shrug. I honestly don’t care so no need to explain. Just pointing out the difference between supporting “everything a woman does” vs being upset (and clearly some people are) that some women lose weight or take meds or whatever. Truly don’t get it.
Because it’s not about Mindy at all. People feel very threatened when someone gets skinny
Ever since I started taking my health more seriously and losing weight, one of my coworkers insists on making snide comments about my "special diet". It's sad, really.
She’s a single mom of 3 in her 40s who has very little dating history and is insecure. Who would be threatened?
Huh? Who cares if she has "very little dating history" - what does that even mean or matter?
How is she insecure?
PP is trying to tell us that she’s had more male interest than Mindy and therefore couldn’t be threatened by her.
Why would anyone be threatened by her? What’s the supposed threat?
That's she's funny (at least funnier than you). And way more successful. And definitely smarter. And brown.
But she will always be the former fat girl and those unflattering photos will live in infamy and she can't stand it.

She’s now built a major empire and is a mom of three. I’m sure she doesn’t have the same insecurities she had in her 20s.
It does seem to be a running theme for her, even now in her 40s. Has she not evolved?
She’s self deprecating. But I don’t think she’s deeply insecure. I don’t get those vibes from watching her in interviews, pose at red carpets, etc.
Her shows are all somewhat biographical and they are humorous and full of heart. She seems pretty successful and sure of herself to me.
She could just own up to it but instead she pretends she hikes a lot.
I hope you are willing to disclose all your private information to the world since you seem to expect that of others.

Her whole relationship with BJ reeks of low self worth and insecurity.

I saw an interview of her from two weeks ago about her weight loss. She literally said no one should be surprised because she has wanted to be thin her whole life and now she is and she’s thrilled.
If she were a regular person, I would probably judge her a little. I think she has always been pretty, but I cannot imagine how hard it must be to look less than “ideal” beauty standards in Hollywood. Of course, she didn’t magically lose her insecurity.
She should do what she wants. I do wish she would just say she’s taking the GLPs because no way would she be unsuccessful losing weight in her 20s but successful in her 40s. But anyway, that’s a minor point.

Her being skinny, which clearly sets people off. Not hard to follow
In what way is that a threat? Is she coming for our jobs and boyfriends? You sound deranged.
That’s the question I would ask you, ma’am.
No, I'm asking you because you're the one pushing this idea. Say what you mean, why do you insist people are "jealous"?
How about you say what you mean? Obviously you need to feel secure and validated today but can’t quite find the words.
You threw out a childish retort "you're just jealous!" and can't even begin to articulate what that even means or how that would work. Pointing out that Mindy pushes lies about her diet and exercise routine to explain a significant weight loss doesn't make anyone jealous of her. If you said people just feel sorry for her you might be closer to the truth. Hope that helps.
lol yes it helps. Enjoy being mad
You really struggling with understanding people and emotions. Mad? Jealous? Are those the only things you can identify with? Sounds like a confession more than an accusation.
