He lied about the RI Ave Homeless Shelter! First he lied and said that he was opposed to it, then he lied and said that he would let residents have input. I attended the ONE meeting he held on July 3rd in a hot church with no air conditioning and fans that were only pointed at him and Phil Mendleson. He got tired of the pushback and said “well I’ve already made up my mind so it doesn’t matter!!” Who does that???? He also lied about Initiative 77. That man is not to be trusted!! He will sell out the city to the highest bidder, just like he did with Pepco!

So what his kids go to private school. You do what is best for your kids. He used to be my councilmember when I lived in Ward 5. I thought he was great. On the other hand, JLG is my current councilmember. We had a serious issue and she called us back 6 months later. Her constituent services has been non existent. I would also like to understand how all of her "policies" are going to be paid for.

She has very little experience to run a city and she's thinskinned, much like our current mayor. No thanks.

Well I don’t think it will get better by voting for JLG. Her constituents services are the same and very passive aggressive much like her. I voted for her opponent the last election as her first term showed who she was.

Hi, not assigned by anyone. Just sick of the green team promising the sky then giving us crap. Bowser has been a huge disappointment so I'm not interested in her hand picked successor.


It's hard to see how anyone could be worse than JLG when it comes to constituent service.


I lived in Ward 5 when Kenyon McDuffie was the councilman and believe me he was as bad if not worse! Non responsive and IF you were able to get a response, it was a flat out lie!!He spent more time in Wards 1,2 & 3 trying to make a name for himself than actually working for his own Ward! There is a reason he is at large, he could never get his seat back in Ward 5. That man is the most insincere person I have ever met. He has no heart when it comes to his position, he is all strategy and it’s been that way since day one. He just wants power, he isn’t in it for the people of WDC and it’s been obvious to many for some time.

Just to remind everyone, with ranked-choice voting at least you can vote with your heart for your first choice vs. the traditional "least bad" candidate.

Who knows, if enough people realize it's a different voting world then maybe one of these minor candidates can pull of an upset.
