I’d try a few other GA tryouts before I took an Aspire offer.
Understood. Of course there is the 48 hour deadline to accept.
We're coming from a smaller club that maxed out in NCSL.
Just tell them you need a bit more time to decide. Clubs don’t pull offers.
This is my worry. Won't be able to check out other clubs with the snow.
DD was invited out for an ID session a couple weeks ago at McLean, but we haven't received any feedback yet.
SYC's Aspire teams are pretty competitive so if going there from a small club that only offers NCSL, it's not bad. Likely that the u13 aspire is higher level than the current club. If you think your kid is a baller than take them to be seen at other clubs. It's difficult to make some of these club's top teams that have established teams and players. There may be room for 1-2 outside players.
This was probably the type of feedback requested. Both the U13 Aspire and U14 Pre-GA II teams look to be competitive. Especially compared to smaller clubs. If your DD is repeating U13, she should have a good start. Get your foot in the door and let her show that's she capable of more. They liked something if they offered a spot after the 1st session

Still, theyll be able to grab a few wins against teams like Arlington in local tourneys and league play because even those better teams are not dominant teams. 2013s have better talent.
The 2013s were mostly McLean, right? They were a group of girls that were already good and had played together already. 2014 FVU seems like it will be a mix of a few girls from many different teams coming together for the first time. It could work.
Seems to be working mostly for the 2012s. They came from at least six different clubs.
2012s are working for now. There is no future with FVU. It takes good coaching in the older age groups and not just good individual players.

because most of those teams only have 5 ‘top’ players. Rosters for NVA, SYC, Mclean, and Arlington are already at 14-18 and the lesser skilled players on all the rosters arent leaving or getting replaced by other lesser skilled players. All teams will carry interchangable lesser skilled players. FVU will be no different.
Unless a group of highly skilled players actively leave together from one team to another team, most of those clubs will remain the same plus or minus a q4 who is exceptional, and not much changes.
Id say VDA and FVU have more upside for potential because of the more fresh start and ability to choose players that havent been at the club for 3 years.
Choose players from where though? Agreed that the GA teams set from existing rosters really just means adding a GA label to an existing team.
from every other club not previously listed. GFR, Alex, TSJ, VRSC, And the remaining Union clubs. the bottom half of most of the top teams are interchangable and there is no shortage of players to take those slots.

Not true. Plenty of players are club hopping for next year. Strong existing teams can only have so many superstars, so other strong players who are not getting that attention are looking. FVU also does not bloat rosters compared to most so playing time is better.
Really? Because only YOU know everything? LOL of course everybody believes that!
