Personally, I would just mentally prepare for other teams. FVU might be the best option to make a first team if that is the goal otherwise RL tryouts are in March and there should be some competitive teams looking for backfilling players that go to ECNL or elsewhere.

This was probably the type of feedback requested. Both the U13 Aspire and U14 Pre-GA II teams look to be competitive. Especially compared to smaller clubs. If your DD is repeating U13, she should have a good start. Get your foot in the door and let her show that's she capable of more. They liked something if they offered a spot after the 1st session

Have they announced the coach for the Aspire team? I didnt see anything posted but perhaps they said at tryouts. If you dont know who the coach is, then that needs to be a big consideration.

It looks like their admins are working overtime because I guess they decided to move up to Feb 1 after all.

The 2013s were mostly McLean, right? They were a group of girls that were already good and had played together already. 2014 FVU seems like it will be a mix of a few girls from many different teams coming together for the first time. It could work.

Seems to be working mostly for the 2012s. They came from at least six different clubs.

2012s are working for now. There is no future with FVU. It takes good coaching in the older age groups and not just good individual players.

Unless a group of highly skilled players actively leave together from one team to another team, most of those clubs will remain the same plus or minus a q4 who is exceptional, and not much changes.

Id say VDA and FVU have more upside for potential because of the more fresh start and ability to choose players that havent been at the club for 3 years.
