I don’t think there is such a thing as “a formality” at Swat because adcoms give no slack on stats and that was made clear at the beginning of the process.
But if you are asking if they were offered and accepted a verbal offer for a supported slot… then yes.

Swats stats are unimpressive compared to Williams and they’re still test optional- they definitely slack when needed.

Williams is test optional too - all of the SLACs are TO. And saying Swarthmore's stats are unimpressive relative to any school is laughable.
