Is this a Dem win? I didn’t know they had a vote. Not many people would turn up to vote for that, no?

Kansas is solid Republican.

But they voted to keep abortion rights. If the public is asked to vote directly, I believe most will vote for what is common sense on most issues.

Kansan here. It was a legislative vote that failed. It was an attempt to keep our only democratic representative, Sharice Davids, from re-election next year. Some Rs didn’t vote for it because they feared it would dilute the other districts too much.

For higher prices, snap being cut off, WH being demolished, alienation of our allies around the world? Will they realize that if they continue to bend the knee to Trump, the long term consequences will far exceed any vengeance he can have on them? Will they see this yet? I would gain so much respect for the R party if they would come to this realization, band together, and act swiftly to remove him from office and have him thrown in jail. Plenty of criminal evidence to do this. They would just need to act quickly to cut off any opportunity of retaliation.

No they won’t. Not as long as they are in thrall of MAGA.

Even before the actual elections, every poll had people blaming the GOP for the shutdown by at least a dozen points.

All it would take are a handful of house and senate members to align with Schumer and Jeffries and this nightmare could be over today.

Bucks County, PA managed to get rid of all of the "moms for liberty" school board members.

+1. It’s getting less discussion, but even deep red Virginia counties saw a huge upswing in D votes last night. Nowhere close to turning the counties red, but still a huge shift.

In typical gracious Trump fashion, all caps, he took no responsibility and said all Republicans losses were due to him not being on the ballot.

If that’s what he needs to tell himself to avoid another temper tantrum, then fine. We don’t need him tearing down the rest of the WH.

Hopefully the (very, very few) Republicans left will grow a backbone against MAGA insanity now realizing the repudiation of unchecked Trumpery.
