It’s not hate as much as it the rejection of a process that puts a lower tier school in the Top 10 when everyone knows it’s not on par with most of the others in that group. If they put Chicago in the 20s I’d buy it.

Chicago and Hopkins are both great schools but they are below Ivies, Stanford, Duke, MIT, CalTech. Should be around 13. No shame in being 13.

Oh, a number of Hopkins aspirants at our school. 3 were admitted ED, and a number were disappointed to have been rejected. Chicago is a different story. Several kids happy to attend, though not their first choice.

At DC's magnet Chicago is a Plan B for kids who don't get into Ivies. #6 is surprising.

A school needed at least and 86 out of 100 to get into the T25 this year.
