Of course, the Palestinians were welcome in 1947 to remain in the land the U.N. allocated to Israel, where they could have become part of a pluralistic, democratic, first-world success story in the region. The land in question had changed hands repeatedly over the past centuries, so the U.N. plan was merely the last in a long series of changes in territorial governance. Or, those not already there could have relocated to a separate Palestinian state, if they preferred that environment. The current status quo is the result of Palestinian choices.

Indeed when the dust settled after the 1948 war, over 1/3 of Israel's population was Arab. It is now 1/5th Arab. They are Israeli citizens, they serve in the knesset, they serve on the courts, they are far wealthier than their Gaza peers. But Israel is a Jewish state, much like every other country in the region is a Muslim state.

I really think zionists are delusional enough to believe that an 8 hour limited ceasefire will be enough to end this outrage. Nice try!
