I don’t buy this as a trend. My Jewish Penn friends are all now sending their kids to Penn. They are fairly confident the new Penn president won’t allow what happened 15 months ago.

However, you do raise an interesting aspect about Emory which is that it pulls more from the northeast than any other region. It’s also very popular among the NY private schools and has a strong NYC network.

It’s simple. Emory has no real standout programs and little name recognition. I see Emory is ranked in the top 30 which is solid for a private. Add in the LACs and Emory is probably barely in the top 40. This is hardly elite.

If Emory is in the T40, what would Gatech be? top 70? Please be real.

+1, I think this prives it. If GT was much better than Emory. It wouldn't need special rankings that are ROI or Pell grant heavy to shine.

We're you not able to read what I wrote? The ranking changed to be ROI and Pell grant heavy. It says it in the preface of the ranking that they dont care for prestige anymore.
