Every single day is literally worse than the previous day. Our rights are being stripped away a little more with every passing day. No free speech. No right to peacefully protest. According to Noem, no right to elect our own politicians.

Once these rights are gone, it will be nearly impossible to get them back. I’ve told my college-aged kids that they might want to consider building their lives in another country once they graduate. I never thought I would say those words to them.

This is not true. Perhaps you are an eager MAGA troll? Many of us on DCUM have organized press conferences for cabinet officials. First of all, we know who is in the room. Second, you will find multiple instances of cabinet level officials simply deflecting a hostile question. For example, by stating that the first amendment protects the right of the questioner. Condi Rive did this fairly often during the Iraq war. She did not send out goons to tackle the person asking the question. Furthermore, one would think the DHS secretary would recognize the face of the ranking member of the judiciary subcommittee on immigration.

This was a national disgrace. Anyone who thinks it’s ok can pack up and move to Russia. Or China. Give it a try if you think full on authoritianism is a winning solution.
