Ludicrous. It will be overturned. Another rogue judge appointed by Biden. He did so much damage to this country.

Many Trump appointed judges have ruled against his administration in his second term. Are they “rogue” judges as well?

Are you talking about the Egyptian guy? He didn’t actually manage to kill anybody, although he tried to.

Exactly. The Biden admin let a lot of terrorists in.

The students, Yunqing Jian, 33, and Zunyong Liu, 34, were in a romantic relationship last July, when U.S. authorities say Mr. Liu arrived in the country carrying small bags of the fungus Fusarium graminearum, which causes a disease that can cripple wheat, barley, maize and rice.

The disease, head blight, is a familiar problem for American farmers, particularly in Northern and Eastern states, according to research funded by the Agriculture Department that has tracked it in 32 states last year. The fungus can be particularly damaging to winter wheat crops.

Ms. Jian was arrested and booked in the federal courthouse in Detroit; Mr. Liu is believed to be in China. The criminal charges come as tensions mount between the United States and China over the Trump administration’s vow to “aggressively” revoke student visas for Chinese nationals. Such students, the administration says, risk siphoning off sensitive technology or trade secrets from American labs for the benefit of their home country.

The new case is distinct from most past national security cases related to Chinese students. Ms. Jian and Mr. Liu are accused not of taking material out of the United States, but of bringing it in. And charging papers specifically cite Ms. Jian’s written pledge of loyalty to the Communist Chinese Party.[b]

This is why it's important to question the presence of so many Chinese CCP students at Harvard. It also supports Rubio's efforts to scrutinize every student visa to determine if any individuals intend to cause harm or unrest in the US.

You don’t punish a whole group for the actions of a few.

From the party that insists anyone who isn't a democrat is a J6er, and all white people are racist, that is cute.

For the party that insists anyone who is not a republican is not American with rights, you are a meanie.

No, we think people who are not citizens are not Americans and can be deported and deprived of specific rights like owning a gun. Because that’s the law.

What did the gay people do to you? They are not Americans?

I’m against Chinese importing dangerous illegal fungus that can kill our crops. Are you?

Every time I come through customs, I see someone who packed food that’s not allowed because it can carry diseases that could harm our crops. That’s why they have the rule and that’s why they make you open your bag and confiscate it.

I was not aware of this until reading your post just now.

So these students were bringing in a fungus known to harm farm crops.

What could possibly be their motive?

Please tell me they weren't planning to release toxins in America?

It's a big nothingburger, IMO. Fusarium Graminearum is not rare in the US or hard to find here. It is naturally occurring and commonly found.

These people were/are studying it here in the US. I've taken flights on which I brought samples I've collected during travel. Fusarium graminearum isn't a biological pathogen, which cannot be brought into the US.

To me, it seems like the US flexing its muscles on more international students who are only doing dedicated research. More attacking academia. I find it very, very hard to believe that they brought these samples in for nefarious reasons. China is the #1 buyer of US agriculture exports. It makes zero sense for China to want to attack our crops because the 2nd and 3rd biggest buyers of US agriculture exports are Canada and Mexico, so it's not like China could go to one of those other big countries to get their goods.

If it is so common, why did they need to smuggle it into the US?

I'm sorry, but you don't SMUGGLE something into the US in labeled ziplock bags.

That's what I'm saying. This was not a CCP smuggling job. The US nabbed them for nothing.

IMO, the most they are guilty of is not obtaining the appropriate permit. You can get a permit from the CDC for fungai. But usually that's only needed if it's something rare that's not found in the US.

Their affiliation with the CCP and their actions don't pass the sniff test.

"The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronics contain information describing her membership in and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party," a DOJ press release said.

"It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America -- through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport -- so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked," according to the press release.

"On July 27, 2024 Liu entered the United States and told authorities he was visiting his girlfriend and then returning to China to start his own laboratory in China. He allegedly said that he had no work materials, but upon a secondary screening of his luggage, authorities found tissues concealed a note in Chinese, a round piece of filter paper with a series of circles drawn on it, and four clear plastic baggies with small clumps of reddish plant material inside," the affidavit said.

He told authorities he didn't know how the materials ended up in his bag and suggested someone placed them there without his knowledge, officials said, but after further questioning he admitted to placing them in the bag.

Another terrorist taken into custody.

BREAKING: ICE announced they’ve arrested a Tajikistan-born suspected Al Qaeda member who was previously released into the U.S. by the Biden administration in March 2023. ICE says the man arrived at the border near San Diego on 3/21/23, and was paroled into the U.S. despite being charged as an inadmissible alien. ICE found & arrested him in Philadelphia.

ICE says Tajikistan authorities declared him a fugitive and suspected member of the terrorist organization last month, so it’s unlikely the Biden admin knew about his background. But it highlights the extreme national security concerns associated with the Biden admin’s open border policies to mass catch and release millions of foreign nationals who arrived at the border during their tenure.

ICE statement:

“Arresting individuals linked to terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda reaffirms our unwavering commitment to safeguard the homeland. Through close collaboration with our outstanding partners at the FBI, we have taken decisive action to make our communities safer and prevent potential threats to the American people,” said ICE Philadelphia acting Field Office Director Brian McShane. “I commend the dedicated men and women of ICE and the FBI for their tireless efforts and steadfast resolve in protecting this great nation.”

I have heard one or two extreme people say that all white people are racists. No one has ever said that anyone who isn't a Democrat is a J6er.

What a ridiculous accusation.

It is, however, true that the Trump administration is trying to officially change the narrative of what happened in the 2020 elections. Applicants to government jobs are being asked "who won the election." If your grandkids and mine start studying fiction and lies at school, YOU are responsible. You and every single person who voted for and supports this fascist administration.

You are so damned naive.
Read the DOJ news release.
Then read CNN’s account of how it was smuggled into the US.
Had it been released it could have had devastating effects to our crops and livestock.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/04/us/chinese-researchers-smuggle-pathogen-university-of-michigan

And i'm telling you, this is already in the US and in our crops. That's what their research was about, you dingus. They are studying it to find better ways to eliminate it. This particular fungi decimates RICE crops. Don't you think the Chinese have a pretty big interest in defeating this fungus to protect their crops? It also can infect wheat, maize, barley, and oat.

This is why it's important to question the presence of so many Chinese CCP students at Harvard. It also supports Rubio's efforts to scrutinize every student visa to determine if any individuals intend to cause harm or unrest in the US.

I was not aware of this until reading your post just now.

So these students were bringing in a fungus known to harm farm crops.

What could possibly be their motive?

Please tell me they weren't planning to release toxins in America?

They don't know why, but they stopped it. I find it somewhat suspicious that the NYT quickly buried the story once it was reported. It seems like they are hiding the fact that maybe the administration is on to something about not allowing random foreign nationals into our country, especially countries that support communism, and let loose a pandemic only 5 years ago.

I now understand why so many of these ICE agents are wearing masks. They aren't ICE agents and did not sign up for this task. Apparently, DHS/HSI has tapped all branches (FBI, USSS, DEA, ATF, and even IRS) to send agents for ICE taskforces. They are hiding their faces because they don't want to be doxxed when they didn't sign up to do ICE raids & deportations.

This friend wants out. He also said ATF is a mess with no leadership. He's pushing through to July which is his 20year mark.

And think about what isn't happening...ATF staffing doing aTF jobs, FBI counterterrorism, not doing their jobs, FBI domestic terrorism, not doing their jobs. We are going to have more catastrophic events because there is no one minding the store.

Guess you didn’t hear about the arrests today of the Chinese nationals charged with agroterrorism.

DP. No, I did not. Please provide a link and TIA

Did you wander into the wrong thread?
