Maybe they can learn to code.

Typical MAGA cheering on layoffs for working class secretaries. You guys just cannot hide your contempt for regular Americans.

Hopefully you’ll have to learn to code one day, too.

I mean, that’s what people like you said about coal miners in WV when they lost their jobs. “Learn to code”. That’s what you told them.

Don’t like hearing it back, huh?

Too bad.

You are too stupid to understand the point. The people being laid off are secretaries and other support staff. Working class Americans, like coal miners.

By the way, there are more UCLA undergrads in America than coal miners. Coal miners aren't "real Americans" any more than the rest of us.

Keep digging, fool! I’m loving this!

I mean I'm arguing with someone who thinks secretaries are the ruling class. There's not much further down to go.

Lawyers won't get any sympathy

AI can do 99 percent of the work for free.

Not sure this means much. It’s all non-lawyer staff. Biglaw has been doing layoffs of non-lawyer staff for over a decade.

Wait til AI starts leading to lawyer layoffs. It’s going to be hilarious, reading all the screeching about it here!

AI cannot do lawyer stuff. There's the pesky issue of due process. Plus, AI has proven to be quite stupid when it comes to law.

“Lawyer stuff” :

Overbilling
Ethics violations
Breaches of confidence
Sloppy document storage practices
Malpractice

You know - lawyer stuff.

Every single profession has bad actors. Like cops. And ICE agents. And presidents.

Well, we’ve replaced a bad actor in the whitehouse when we re-elected President Trump. And we’ve all seen how cops can get sent to jail if that’s what the screaming mob demands. Haven’t seen any bad actors from ICE, but if it happens, they’ll be disciplined appropriately hopefully.

But AI? AI will fix “lawyer stuff”, by largely eliminating lawyers.

Lady you are a real dumb dumb.

You're talking about secretaries. These are your people.

Fair enough. But Big Law is generating a lot of hate with their moves. Trump and the GOP won't be in power forever. Big Law took a big swing going all in with Trump. We'll see what the blowback is in the years to come. But it was a huge move for these firms to go all in with Trump and the GOP. I suspect in the end it will cost them more than the $940 million that Big Law has pledged to Trump so far. Big Law plays for the red team. And it is being noted everywhere.

You obviously don't work in the industry or haven't been following this closely. A handful of firms capitulated.

Yeah tell me again how they're the party of the working class? The biggest con Trump has ever pulled.

Haven't you seen all the ai briefs that use fake case law? AI is not the future of law.
