Most feds are not high earners. Sure the DMV will feel the impact of this slash and burn on the federal workforce. But likely not the high end restaurants. Lobbyists are still going strong.

The people who got fired are making 100k a year. DC is filled with wealthy diplomats dining out on their country's dime, lobbyists and rich senators and their mistresses. It will take a while, if ever, to hit the DC high end restaurant scene.
it's also billionaires like Musk who have descended on DC that are still wining and dining.
Fired Feds should go work at those places, and ...

It’s predominantly because of Walmart.
I think the stock market will be volatile but ok for a bit. Wall Street is betting on Trump making things better. It’s going to take it a bit to realize he may break things in a not-easily-reversible fashion before he does them any favors.
At the same time, the broader economy is showing signs of weakness and Walmart issuing a weak forecast reflects that. I read a month ago that Wall Street was predicting a favorable earnings season and I am not sure it’s going to turn out that way.

People are being fired left and right. How long do you give it. Government programs aren't getting funded (farms, schools etc...) causing a ripple down across the country. How long till people not paying attention see it?
Democrats slaughtered most of America’s chickens. Next, please.
What other prices have skyrocketed?
