A group of members of Congress and Senators were just not allowed to enter the USAID building. On the order of Elon Musk.
They’re back out — members of Congress have been refused entry to USAID.
“I We were denied entry based on the order they received from Elon Musk and DOGE.” Sen. Van Hollen

This is a coup.
It's so weird because Musk doesn't even work for the gov and there is no such thing as DOGE except in the imagination of Trumpers.

You people are great. It call separation of powers. The executive branch invites you over. You don't just show up.
Nope. Congress has oversight powers - that means that departments don't get to lock them out when they drop by.
Any congress person breaching seperation of powers should be treated worst than J6ers. You are right that Congress has oversight powers, but they still cannot trespass or do a coup.
Do people really think members of congress can just waltz in to any government building whenever they want?

Of course not! That’s why we allow 19 year olds and people with no security clearance in these buildings.

Marco Rubio is now the temporary director.
Rubio is out of the country and has deputized someone. Will that person also deny entrance to congresspeople? And permit Musk access to everything including sensitive and classified information?
What classified information does USAID have?
Sounds like Elon Musk is right about it being a CIA front.
Senator Chris Murphy:
"USAID supports freedom fighters everywhere in this world"
I thought it was about non-military economic aid?

Yes, he’s didn’t learn from Trump’s first term. Elon’s going to go down as the biggest scapegoat in history. Probably as soon as Trump can figure out how to have his new sovereign wealth fund take all Elon’s assets.

Hopefully his days are short in number.
