So for anyone out there who does this, please be aware this is what decent people think of you when we hear that, and if that's not the way you want to be thought of, you're going to have to prove otherwise through sincere words and actions.
Yep, but my guess is they don’t care if people think they are racist.

Four more years of this crap, every day!
God help us!
Things Trump did wrong: Pardon some of the J6 criminals who attacked police. He was wrong to bring DEI and blame to today's press conference really bad move.
Things Trump has done well: Quick action EO. Deportation will be popular especially the Columbia compromise. Mandatory RTO and the purging of career feds will be popular.
The rest is neutral on party lines
Purging of career Feds will not be long term popular. It will not save money and you apparently have no idea what Feds do or how their jobs are funded.
Right - we have understaffed Air Traffic Control Towers, with this 1 guy reportedly doing the work of 2, yet he and the other controllers that were there probably received the dumb “Fork in the road” email earlier that day.
Understaffed, overworked, freeze on backfills, demoralized by Trump and Musk's deranged demonization of feds, their jobs threatened, even more cuts and pointless but draconian nonsense proposed, accused of being "DEI hires" despite meeting very stringent health standards and qualifications, being spammed with bizarre "buy out" emails that are probably a scam... yeah I'm sure those guys in the tower are top o' the world right now.

We do not know what led to this crash, but we have some very strong opinions and ideas,” he said. “And I think we'll probably state those opinions now, because over the years I've watched as things like this happen and they say, ‘Well, we're always investigating.’”
How long do we have to listen to this garbage? Now this tragedy will turn into a race issue and the country won’t be able to get together and grieve for these people.
Actually I think he said we should hire the best and the brightest air traffic controllers and not base hiring on race, sex, orientation, etc. It’s called a meritocracy.
But nobody can prove it's not already a meritocracy.
We don’t live in a meritocracy. Never have, probably never will. That would mean solely hiring on metrics and evidence and we don’t do that. That would mean no more “personality hires” or getting jobs for friends and family. That isn’t merit.
Tell me you know absolutely nothing about federal hiring without telling me you know absolutely nothing about federal hiring.

"I do want to point out that various articles that appeared prior to my entering office, and here's one the FAA's diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities," Trump said. "That is amazing, and then it says, FAA says people with severe disabilities are most underrepresented segment of the workforce, and they want them in and they want them. They can be air traffic controllers, I don't think so. This was in Jan. 14, [2024], so that was a week before I entered office. They put a big push to put diversity into the FAA's program. Then another article, the Federal Aviation Administration. This was before I got to office recently, second term. The FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical conditions under under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's website. Can you imagine?"
Trump thinks he was sworn in a week before 1/14/24? What a loon.

This is what Trump said:
"It just could have been," Trump said when he was asked whether he believed the crash was the result of diversity hiring. We must have only the highest standards for those who work in our aviation system," Trump said."
