Now do all the rapes and murders by American citizens. Let's compare percentages. I'll wait.
To MAGA, the only rapes and murders that count are those committed by:
*migrants (obv)
*POC in general
*anyone associated with Antifa
*anyone else that fits the narrative

There are a few things here that Republicans are likely to be better at - border security, lower violent crime, less fentanyl and subsequent ODs
The rest of it is likely to be a wash
Good enough for a couple of years
Republican states continue to lead in violent crime. I type this in a solidly red state that continues to boogeyman crime every election when they've been in power my entire life...Republicans seriously do not want to solve the crime issue, because they'd lose their luster of pretending to care about solving crime. It's why dems always build up the amazing infrastructure to jail and police the rest of us, since they are always under pressure to be "tough on crime" for whatever reason.

Yup. Where have you been for the last 20 years? The GOP trades in hate and hate only.
It’s literally the opposite. Watch it. Maybe you’ll learn something, but you probably won’t because you’re too close minded.

Correct. Very liberal me and my very liberal spouse were watching the convention on TV and he did indeed look down during a moment of prayer. He was faking of course because he doesn’t have a religious bone in his body, but he was not asleep.
Why does it bother you so much that he might be praying?
Why are you so deluded that you think he WOULD be praying for real?
Why does it bother you that I believe he was praying for real?
I don't care what you believe since you are an anonymous stranger. But I am bothered by the mass delusion that has overcome the religious members of MAGA who seem to sincerely believe that Trump is a godly man when, in word and deed, he is the antithesis of one.
By contrast, MAGA vilifies Biden, a guy who routinely goes to mass every week and has been doing so for decades. They also make cracks about Jimmy Carter (those that still remember him), who is a devout Evangelical and "has taught Sunday school at Maranatha Baptist Church in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, since the 1980s." Why do Republicans tend to think that their presidents are religious but not Democrat ones? Partisan groupthink, that's why:
"Even among Biden’s fellow Catholics, partisanship permeates views of Biden’s religion. Nine-in-ten Democratic and Democratic-leaning Catholics say they think Biden is at least somewhat religious, including half who say he is “very” religious. Among Republican and Republican-leaning Catholics, by contrast, a 56% majority say Biden is “not too” or “not at all” religious. And while eight-in-ten Catholic Democrats say they think Biden discusses his faith “about the right amount,” barely half as many Catholic Republicans say the same (42%)."
https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2021/03/30/most-democrats-and-republicans-know-biden-is-catholic-but-they-differ-sharply-about-how-religious-he-is/
So, MAGA Republicans have “mass delusion” because they don’t think what you think? Maybe they see Trump in a very different light. Maybe they are aware of all of the kind and generous things that he has done for other people throughout his life.
Personally, I don’t have any opinions about anyone’s faith or religiosity. I can’t know what’s in someone else’s heart. I don’t think you can either.
Please cite some examples of the bolded. I think we would all love to learn about these instances of kindness and generosity.
I highly doubt that you would love to learn about some of these, but here you go…
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-quiet-acts-kindness/
Check those dates. 1988!?!?! Come on.
There are plenty of newer ones. Come on. I just picked a website. I thought you would like.
Anything about Biden doing anything nice for anyone at all ever?
He tried to offer condolences to the widow of the victim from the shooting on Saturday, for starters.
Because he is president and it was not welcomed by her. Anything that he actually accomplished that the person benefitted from? ANYthing? There must be something…
I know he has done a lot for the Anchor Fund to help battered women when he was a senator and vice president. I don't know of what he has done since becoming president.
I would like to hear something that he did during the first 75 years of his life that didn’t involve spending other people’s money and get him votes in return. Just a kind thing that was appreciated by someone in need.
This is so exhausting. If you don't like his policies, just say you don't like his policies. The man has dedicated his life to public service. He could have left and made hundreds of millions of dollars. I just feel like Trumpsters can't have an intellectually honest conversation. Let's talk policy. What exactly is Trump going to do to decrease housing costs (local issue), decrease inflation (federal reserve issue), decrease the cost of gas (reduce state gas taxes?), reduce healthcare costs, help education (make every kid go to an unregulated charter school?), teach history (oh yeah, can't do that anymore b/c it makes white people feel bad that they had slaves), deport all immigrants (you think you have high inflation now - just wait). Help me out here. What are his actual policies going to be? He wants a Christian nation (hell no) and eliminate women's choices (oh that will get me to vote for him!)
So, not one kind thing that Biden has ever done.
This is not about what Biden has done, it's asking what Trump policies you support. Biden passed the infrastructure bill (HUGE!), Chips and Science Act, Inflation Reduction Act (only important if you believe in climate change) and tried to get student loans forgiven (I paid mine off, but I make a huge amount of money), expanded lower cost for insulin and has passed a law to be able to reduce prescription costs (big PHARMA is fighting him tooth and nails). He's tried to protect a woman's right to choose, he believes in civil rights. Those policies are important to me.
That's what he did. What are Trump's policies that you support? Bashing Biden doesn't count.
So, do you want to just completely change the subject. I don’t understand how it is bashing Biden to ask if he’s ever performed a kind act. The Trump bashing is nonstop. But Trump has done many kind things. I was just asking if Biden did anything kind.
I don’t see the point in discussing policies since I don’t think we will ever agree.
How do you know we will never agree? Policies are all I care about. I am a staunch Dem who doesn't believe that transgender athletes should be able to compete. Period. I just don't think it's fair. I don't believe that kids should get gender affirming care as children. Most of my dem friends agree with me. I refuse to use pronouns. I am also deeply pro-choice and believe in DEI and diversity. We do not live in a color blind society. We just don't. I believe in climate change and renewable energy as long as we understand the balance between expanding our energy supply and managing that with the cost.
The Dem party isn't perfect, but it fits most of what I want. I don't care if either candidates are kind. I just want them to be effective and generally support the things that I believe in.
I want the president to do what is good for America.
