I am a 62-yr old left-leaning male.
I was struck recently when leaders from three top-10 schools were called to address congress about antisemitism on campus. All 3 college presidents were female. Have females really become THAT successful so they deserve to lead MIT, Harvard, and U-Penn all AT THE SAME TIME? Really? All THREE schools?
This crap is not new. I have been the victim in the past of "reverse discrimination" in the past, when jobs were reserved for "vagina-holders only" when I graduated with a PhD in Engineering and the job market was extremely tight. My female office mate attended a super computing conference, didn't have a paper, didn't have any qualifications, and was invited to interview for a professorship at a school - sight unseen - without even asking! The affirmative action people were chasing women that hard!
We all saw another women interview at our university and she gave a terrible talk and had a terrible thesis ("but she's female and from a higher ranked school so it matters not!") The reverse discrimination was disgusting to females and males alike, and this was way back in the 1980s, no need for more of this crap in the 2010s or 2020s.
You must have been equally concerned when those schools were exclusively run by men, right? Like how it was for years and years…

You sound like a Ferengi. Also, I'll bet I wouldn't have to look very hard for a period of time in which all three schools were led by men.
But when the leaders are all men that’s bad and needs to be addressed through laws and incentives but when all of the leaders are women then everything is great? That basically proves the point that you are arguing against.

This whole thread is why Carville said we're gonna lose. Take a hint - stop looking down your nose at someone who doesn't think like you or it's going to cost you dearly in 2024.
I hope Carville is not prescient. We see a host of this sort of behavior on multiple issues (and that's what a lot or Trump voters are voting against).

You would be amazed at what your daughters would tolerate if the guy is hot.
Know of many "lefty" women who became reliable conservatives upon meeting their husband. Women's politics are quite fluid.
She can vote for a democrat in presidential election, even if her husband is in the booth next to her. What do you think women did when they finally had voting rights, but controlling, misogynistic husbands? Men are clueless. Women are crafty.

I'll listen to your opinions when you act responsibly to understand the very valid mathematical analysis in the video, backed up by facts, not emotions!

It’s women’s fault that men to seek out care.
Checks out.
Ignorant, dumb post full of assumption. I bet you painted broad strokes before too about black people. Dear black people, if you are sick, why didn’t you just go to the doctor, duh?
Never mind the fact that that ignores a massive amount of history of distrust in the medical care system by the black community die to egregious history like Tuskegee experimentation.
“DeAr MaLEs, If SicK Y u No GO tO DoCTOr’S dUh!!”
Maybe it has never occurred to your infantile brain that there is a larger societal issue that primarily affects men more than women that makes them more hesitant to access healthcare (just like black community for years was distrusting of doctors)? If so, that needs to be addressed through more public health spending directly targeting men. Sure, there are some men who don’t go due to superhero syndrome, but the reasons men go for less are way more nuanced and complicated than your peon brain can comprehend:

The failure of the healthcare system to provide routine preventative medicine for men is the single greatest - and silent - public healthcare disaster that currently exists. There is a total lack of spending on education and public service initiatives to specifically address men’s needs in order to reduce a huge gender gap in accessing healthcare.
Blah blah blah no one cares.

Don't forget, in the eyes of the GOP, liberal men aren't real men.
If they are white and American, probably. But this discussion was about worldwide trends.

Noted.
No, I’m not impervious to it. I just think that men carry the same burden as well in the military, and in any event why is it fair to punish men with a sharply higher risk of death due to being drafted because the military as a whole doesn’t manage sex assault? The benefit women get by not being drafted is disproportionate. Sex assault is bad, being killed is worse. It is grossly unfair to make young men bear the worst burden of the draft.
We do not have a draft in this country. So wtf are you prattling on about? And your death vs rape comparison is ignorant. You should enlist.
