My wish for this country is that our govt would admit the issues we have are pretty gigantic in nature.

I would vote for a candidate regardless of party who admits that the US is not a perfect country, shit is happening here and there's a lot of improvements to be made in so many areas including healthcare, infrastructure, immigration, national debt, etc. Obviously we will never be a perfect country as none are. HOWEVER, the shit that we have going on is mind blowing. I don't know if many of our issues can be resolved in the short term or at all, I also don't even know what kind of solutions exist and which to tackle first.

I do know that every candidate who spouts out the US is awesome and still the leader of the free world BS campaign propaganda is either a fool or lying or both and I wouldn't trust them with leading anything.

This includes Trump and Biden both. Esp Biden actually because as gross is Trump is, you know exactly how disgusting he is LOL Biden is doing so many things right now to exact votes. That is all. He is the more political of the 2 actually because Trump basically reacts and does what he wants - without regard to how it looks. He is a fool in many ways but everyone offended by him incl me can say it's his personality. The choices he makes and his crazy are untrustworthy. He is selfish and evil. BUT in terms of policy, I don't know that he is that wishy washy. He's been consistent on immigration and many other issues. You can say he sucks and I agree but from a political platform perspective, he hasn't really changed all that much. Biden on the other hand is a disaster. On many many fronts policy wise: immigration, debt, education, foreign policy, etc. He is a decent man but he's a pure politician who isn't as good at it as Obama, Bush 1 and 2 or Clinton are. Biden is also losing his marbles and too old to really lead us in a way he is pitching.

I see the US continuing to decline on many fronts because there is nobody who will face reality and say - we aren't the best and brightest today. There was a time when things were better and we should work to find that time again. Until we are so low that we admit this, we will have chaos.

Real wages went up noticeably under Turnip. Around 10% on average including for the working classes. Under Biden real wages have gone down. It's only in the last year that it's reversed course somewhat, but measured across the last three and half years, real wages are still lower than in 2019 for most Americans. That is why so many people say the economy is bad, because for them they have seen a decline in buying power due to inflation. Income disparity is only one part of a larger economic picture and harping on it is missing the forest for the trees. People aren't so concerned about income disparity if *everyone's* income is going up faster than inflation. Which is what happened during the Turnip years.

On a personal level I am definitely better off than four years ago due to significant growth in stock funds and equity in my property and a new job that came with a big salary increase. On the flip side, I definitely still feel the effect of inflation and I can't afford to move up as the real estate market went bonkers, and now we have 7.65% interest. So there are pros and cons.

But I am not making my voting decision this year based on economic issues.
