The IRS is revenue positive. It brings in more money than it spends. This has nothing to do with lowering spending or debt. It's the GOP once again serving the interests of the wealthy before the interests of the country.

It's in everyone's interest for rich people to pay their taxes. The IRS helps make sure that happens (barely).

Yes. The function of the irs is to collect tax revenues on behalf of the United States government.

If you prefer not to have infrastructure or participate in the U.S. food and pharma supply chains or use public transportation, etc., you can go off the grid and live in a remote spot. But even if you never leave your bunker and grow your own food and heal yourself with herbs, you’ll still be riding the coattails of the rest of us paying for your national security.
