I don’t think they’ve been super close to him in years. He said in the reunion none of them called him.

I never got the impression that any of them were tight, except maybe during filming because they were together so much. I think a lot of people wanted to believe they were a close little family because it keeps the magic of the show going, but at the end of the they were just coworkers. Are people super close with coworkers years after they leave a job? Sometimes, but it's not really the norm. Plus it can be very hard to be close to someone with addiction--it ruins friendships.

They spent 10 years co-starring together on the #1 sitcom - and they got to do this as equals, who negotiated their contracts as a unit. I don't think it's crazy to think that these six actors, with that history, share a bond that the rest of us would find almost impossible to understand.

A bond from 20 years ago, where most have had kids, divorces, family deaths, etc. that bond is fractured by now. They didn’t even get together as a group for 20 year except 2 times. Do you have a bond with your coworkers from 20 years ago?

Wow. How ugly of you to anticipate the reaction to someone's death like this. No, there won't be the level of public, fan posts "like this" for any of the other cast members of a long-ago sitcom. Perry's character was particularly loved and IRL, he apparently made real efforts to help other addicts. But your anticipatory comparison of grief over the deaths of people you don't know personally is shallow and ghoulish. Maybe watch fewer Friends reruns and get out of the house.

It seems like in some cases the person gets transported to the hospital even if they are found deceased and in his case they placed the white tent in his yard until the coroner came.
