I understand the tragedy of Relisha Rudd, but I always thought DC should have refurbished DC General into a state of the art involuntary psychiatric hospital for all the mentally ill chronically homeless, rather than tear it down or whatever they did.

Perhaps, but you and everyone here knows that if the Governor of Maine used the exact same language to describe their concern for the shooter’s mental health as the Councilmember did for this guy they’d be run out of government and be forced to resign in a few days. It’s impossible to imagine a scenario where the Maine Governor would say something like that actually.
