I live in Broad Run as well. I will be voting for Hodges for School Board. Deans seems fine but I don’t trust her since has the D endorsement.

He literally called LCPS - one of the highest rated school districts in the country - "decline in front of our eyes."

He was asked his top 3 messages of his campaign. This is what he wrote:

Protect and preserve parent rights
Focus public school back to academic instruction away from identity politics
Stop the over sexualization of children in k-12

How is this "super focused on education"? It's literally a list of culture war grievances. You can read his responses for yourself here: https://ballotpedia.org/Michael_Rivera_(Virginia)

Attacking parents for caring when their children are brutally assaulted in school is an attack on the culture.

Parents being angry about it is a legitimate grievance.

No one has attacked the parents.

There aren't any right now. Your only choice is a split ticket to maintain checks on both sides.

^Yup. I did this for the above reason.

PP here and same. DH did too and several of my friends/neighbors. R local, D statewide.

I live in Loudoun and I voted R for all the local/county positions and D for State Senate and Delegate. I'm very pro choice and pro gun control but I'm very upset with what is happening to the the public schools. Prior to this I voted straight D. I will continue to vote D for statewide and national office unless/until the R's nominate someone other than Trump/Trump 2.0.

What's the breakdown of LCPS school board members whose kids attend public vs. private?

Anonymous wrote:Loudoun residents, which at large school board candidate are you voting for? Both candidates are listed as non-partisan.

Anne Pogue Donohue
Michael Rivera

And Broad Run's two candidates are as well:
Christopher Hodges
Linda Worrell Deans

LCPS school board candidates are supposed to be non-partisan but are almost always endorsed by Republicans/Dems. Non-partisan on paper, but not in reality.
