It sounds like a standard tort injury that homeowners insurance would cover

Thank you for this. This is a good way to look at it.

Perfect example statement of one of the many things wrong with this country.

This is also why I refused to purchase a house with a sidewalk. People like you.

Getting your medical expenses and lost wages paid for is not "for her own gain" if the property owner is legally liable.

She will get counter sued for trespassing.

This is a stupid response. Explain how walking on a sidewalk meets the elements of tressspassing. Then please explain what damages the homeowner would have.

Why did you capitalize summer? It's not a proper noun.

It really should be a proper noun, though. Really makes no sense.

Good citizenship? You are destroying the environment. Salt on the sidewalk is bad for the environment. You are polluting and contaminating drinking water. You are killing endangered wildlife in freshwater ecosystems.
Wear the proper shoes and you won't fall. It is not that hard.

Proper shoes? No, you would need microspikes to safely walk on ice.

And you know there's ecosafe salt, right?

Not necessarily. Just wear anti-slip shoes and you should be fine.
Don't wear flats. They have no grips. I bet you didn't know that.
