The School is academically rigorous. It also offers a multitude of athletic/artistic/musical/and other activities both league and intramural based. The school continues to truly incorporate Catholic and family values into its curriculum and it's been around hundreds of years (set 1700 ish?). It. is this mix and background that lead to the impressive college matriculations but also leads to happier students who become happier adults. Faith is important to Prep families and that means everyone has a similar value system.

I can absolutely positively with 100 percent certainty tell you that not everyone in that school has a similar value system.

Enough with the broad generalizations of Prep or any other school. Believe it or not, there is diversity among the families and students at Prep and not everyone is a fan of Kavanaugh, planning to attend ND or BC, or even Catholic (gasp!). Some of us come from two-parent working families (double gasp) and struggle and sacrifice to make tuition. The draw for many is the rigorous education. Period.

Finally, to the person who keeps posting the college results: Please, enough. You are embarrassing yourself and others affiliated with the school.

No. I should’ve worded my post differently. Someone posted on the previous page congratulating GP for sending 9 kids to GU.

Based on the relationship between the institutions, I would’ve assuming that a significantly higher % of the class than that would be going to GU & that there’d be some kind of automatic admissions agreement.

There’s nothing formal in place.

Historically GU generally enrolls 6 to 8 GP grads out of a class of 125. Enrolling 10 to 12 (if that where it ends up) would be on the high side of past years.

I’m pretty sure on average 35%+ of GP grads end up at Jesuit colleges and Notre Dame.

These schools are where the GP name add weight to the application.
