Basic 12 month aged Vermont white cheddar cheese (ex. Cabot for $6 per 8oz) is 100x better than American "cheese" product. A slice of fresh tomato and honey mustard makes it even better. Grilled cheese with American is pointless.
I do think mixing Velveeta with another type of cheese is THE best grilled cheese. Love the white cheddar. The Americans cheese food just helps it attain creaminess and decrease greasiness.
Decrease greasiness? Isn’t American cheese made with like half oil?

I agree with this. When you drink your fruit, rather than eating it, you lose the most nutricious parts. It's like drinking sugar water. Perhaps better than Coca Cola with all the chemicals, but not by much.

Maybe add some relish to that (either sweet/dill or a mix) and make is a Russian dressing. My DH acts like I made him a gourmet meal when I make that.
