Nothings going to happen until November when Biden returns from Europe
I guess this is what happens when you take an entourage of 800 people to a conference in Rome. There’s nobody left in DC to bicker about a bill. With so many people going to Rome, that must make the ones left in DC feel pretty nonessential, right?
You’re kidding about 800 people right? How many are actually going? More than 10 would be a complete slap in the face since they’re supposed to be addressing climate change issues.
Biden's Cadillac 'Beast,' a 20,000 pound armored limousine that gets as much as 8 mpg, was surrounded by dozens of slow moving cars as he pulled into the courtyard of the Vatican for his meeting with Pope Francis on Friday. It generates an estimated 8.75 pounds of carbon per mile driven - 10 times more than the average car, with two Beasts - the official vehicle and a decoy - forming part of his entourage.
The motorcade was 85-cars long, due to Italian COVID-19 rules, which only allow three non-cohabiting people - including the driver - per vehicle. As well as the Beast, it was comprised of gas-guzzling Chevrolet Suburban SUVs, and famously thirsty Alfa Romeo cars driven by Italian police. It would have generated around 73.5 pounds of carbon per mile driven.

What exactly are we “trusting”? That Kamala will get something done?

She also said she would put the infrastructure bill on the floor yesterday and hold the vote open to get the bill through.
Guess that didn’t work out too well for her. Lame duck Speaker losing control.
She already lost control and the 3-year-olds are running the house. Oh well.
Nancy is a lot of things but she is a shrewd politician. They're going to end up with eggy faces in December.

The “framework” had also been decided on in September, back when the Senate and House agreed to a $3.5T framework. That was the whole purpose of Pelosi promising a 9/27 vote to the moderates, for their support of the framework.
Look where that got us.
Incorrect. There was never an agreed upon framework with budget cost. There was never clarity what programs would be included. There is no but until Manchin and Sinema give better assurances there is no reason for Progressives to give up their leverage. They WANT both bills to pass. That’s why they were willing to comprise from 6 t, to 3.5 t to 1.7 t. Potus and Progressives have given up a ton while corporate Dems have whittled the bills down to a pittance. The bills are still good, but not what we need.
Think about this: Democrats know they need to deliver something yet they need to have the votes of Manchin and Sinama who are absolutely willing to go home with nothing. Just like the GOP, They do. Not. Care.
