My guess is that she either committed suicide or it was an accidental death. He was afraid he would be blamed so he went home, or he got advice from someone who told him to come home. If she died in a suspicious way he would have been arrested at the scene.
np you sound like the guy's parents. Thank goodness your "guesses" don't have any authority over this case. Please be respectful as you don't know what happened and this is someone's beloved daughter.

I think they were on drugs. He either killed her during a fight, or she overdosed and he freaked out, either way disposing of her body. His silence is smart. There will never be evidence for an indictment. She sounds like she was unstable. Murdered newlyweds who knows what happened or if there is a link.

August 12th was when Gabby and Brian were fighting outside the Moonflower Coop where one of the murdered couple worked. August 13th was the last day the murdered couple was seen alive. Most likely not related but the timing and coincidental location of the Moonflower is kind of strange.
One day after the Gabby/Brian argument the newlywed couple are last seen alive. The murdered couple are found dead on 8/18. On 8/23 Brian flies back to Florida to place their things in a storage facility. She stays in a hotel for 5 days while he's in FL. I suppose she was seen around the hotel area during those 5 days? Brian flies back to Utah and subsequently drives the van back to FL. Gabby is never seen again. We can only hope she's alive, but it's not looking good.
I think something about this whole situation stinks like a rotten fish. What are the chances that a young couple is murdered, and a young adult girl disappears - in the exact same (presumably safe) rural location, within ~10 days of each other?

He's lying at least in part to the officers by saying he didn't have money for a hotel and instead using the DV funding for a place to stay. I'm really trying to wrap my head around the white male privilege here and how the system potentially failed this woman. (I've also been the victim of the chummy police, this video gave me a flashback)

He flew back to FL on 8/23 to move their belongings from his parents home in FL to a storage unit. The couple lives with his parents. Allegedly, she stayed in a hotel (Fairfield Inn) the same hotel police safe havened him after the 8/12 incident. He flew back to her in Colorado IIRC on 8/27. Between 8/27 and 9/1, he drove the van back to Florida and arrived at his parents home on 9/1. Gabby's parents reported her missing on 9/11, after unsuccessful attempts to reach her, AND unanswered calls/texts to Brian and his parents.10 days!!

Np even if I was completely innocent I wouldn’t take a poly. They’re notoriously wrong. Especially if I was the main suspect. I’d work with police through my lawyer.

My guess is that after what happened with the police they were going to call it quits, or at least he was. He went home and she didn't feel comfortable staying in the van by herself, so she got a hotel. They probably made up over the phone and he decided to come back.

It all comes down to: you went vacation with a person and you came back without that person. Are you at least concern about that person? And that person happen to be a fiance. You have no explanation on that person's whereabouts. You look very guilty regardless of what happened while on vacation.
