So what? We all worked before DC.
I've never paid someone to raise my kids. My kids were in a small home daycare for less than 5 hours a day of which they slept for a good 2 hours of that.
I know it might be hard to follow, but the "extra thing" I am doing is called having a career. You can do both.....well, I can do both I guess you can't or "won't."
Not the PP, but of course we "can" do both. We choose not to and that just burns you up inside doesn't it?
It doesn't burn me at all. I think you're fooling yourself if you think most SAHMs "can" do both. The majority of the time that's the reason they are staying home. "To make it easier on DH and DC." That's the same thing as you could figure out how to balance work and home life.
No, it clearly tears you up inside that plenty of capable, accomplished, intelligent women choose to be home with their kids, while you have to keep working. Sure it makes family life easier if there's a SAHP. But that fact has nothing to do with what these women are capable of doing. It's all about what they choose to do and what they prioritize in their lives. But you know all that already. You just can't stand it.
Surprise, surprise, another nasty SAHM.
I'm so tired of the smug and nasty SAHM on this board.

Nasty? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I'm with you on that too - look at developed countries that are homogeneous and their standard of living, low poverty, quality of education....Finland, South Korea, Switzerland, Japan....
Look at what diversity has brought many parts of Fairfax County - near failing school, crime, gangs etc...
