Would have been VDA if they were born 30 miles South in VA. Clubs are a platform that’s it and in this case BSC was merely a team for your to train with until they can go pro.

Not true. BSC coaches have developed her and she is fast tracked by inner circle connections and ownership friends.


I can tell you that this is why we are leaving BSC after several years. They are reading their headlines a bit too much and they believe they are alpha and omega.

The BSC coaches (before NM), player, family, and trainers have all contributed. The player should be commended for her achievements.

But isn't there a 15 year old phenom coming out of BSC that is going pro already and trains with these coaches 3 times a day? They are leading her to the pros at 15 so they are doing something right.

I can speak for the last years 2011, 2010, and 2009. They were not all at the same fields. There was no rhyme or reason for the groupings. Literally the worst kids on some of the teams, who didnt even get an offer for this year, were moved to first team scrimmage based on one move. The girls working their tails off had no one watching. And the wrong coaches for the first night were sent to the wrong teams. It was a mess. It was very different from, say, PPA. That was all scrimmages and the coaches had clipboards and ran up and down noting every play. It was super organized. The players had eyes on them at all times.


Saw the same last year at their younger age tryouts too - 2015 and younger


2015's? You obviously was not there. There was a coach at every field sometimes 2 coaches. Coaches had clipboards, rosters and they rotated fields and players moved up and down the tiered fields. Lots of kids and difficult to stand out, but to say there was not a coach on the field is absolutely not true.

I can agree with you on that. I saw the 2015's as well last year and it was well run, organized, coaches on every field and rotating so everyone got looked at. With over 60 players trying out for 75 minutes, it left each coach just over a minute per player if you broke it down. Pretty hard to get a good look.

I think is consistent from the large clubs. They are looking to fill around the edges and really only have a few slots left except for the expansion jump to U13. This is not exclusive to BSC. The smaller clubs have a much smaller turnout and can pay more attention. Ironically, that is why it is actually smart for parents to start at smaller clubs and develop into someone that BSC invites in before tryouts.
