They need to cast from the same city / area. Most middle aged and ok older adults have deep roots and ties and responsibilities where they live. Moving away from family and friends and your home and community later in life just doesn’t make sense.

If they had in fact been in love, they would have figured out a way to compromise. They weren't in love, period. And he never was, not even for a second. That's what I think she realized, poor thing.
I think she got caught up in wanting to win because it meant winning. She wasn't really thinking about what that truly meant long-term. Odd for someone who does financial planning, but maybe it was all so exciting she couldn't help it.
