there were 3 of them.

Only one in the top division.

And what is the “top division?”

If you are referring to 6/5/4, you are sadly mistaken as many years the top team in the state has come from 5/4 and not 6.

4/5/6 ONLY signify the number of students enrolled in a school and not talent of a class.

Going back I would put up many 4/5 team as far superior to any 6 in the state. At 4, Atlee, Dominion and Glass have all had some of the top teams. At 5, the Stone Bridge “Maltz” teams, Briar and Riverside have all been consensus “best in state” teams.

And for all you sensitive private school folks, I am talking VHSL.

6A runs the state. 95% of the time the top team in 6A is the top team in the state (like Robo this year). bigger division, better players, more competition.

I believe every word of this is false.
You must be a child and not an adult who has been around for more than the 2020s.

As stated earlier, the top teams in the state going back several years are Riverside, Briar, stone Bridge, Atlee and Glass.

Riverside has won 5 straight State Titles. They beat Madison, destroyed Atlee, beat STAB.... Who did RoBoBo play this year? Looks like they really challenged themselves with that tough game against Fauquier!

This is too funny. Robo has played quite literally every top team in 6A. Not to mention all though it was a scrimmage, beat riverside by 5 goals (as they do EVERY year in the preseason). There is a reason for different divisions.

LOL the ONLY reason for different divisions is school enrollment.
See realignment of teams going from 5 to 6 and 6 to 5 and even Champe from 6 to 4. Has nothing to do with past records and talent on the team.

Now for some facts- many years the top team in VHSL is from 4 or 5. The teams have already been listed. I will say that I think Robinson this year and only this year was the top team in VHSL. It does not carry over that 6 is better every year or that maybe a Riverside or Atlee were #2 and #3 in VHSL.

Also, if scrimmages count so would things like winter league and Robinson lost to Independence. Sure you can make all the excuses you want BUT the fact is that when you put your name to the team and they lose, own it. If Robinson is so much better then all of 6, a 5 or a 4 should not even be close- even missing players/ off season etc.

Your "scrimmage is like off-season" argument is the most moronic thing I have ever heard. Guys that do not make the team are playing in off-season games, along with other guys who will see very little playing time in the spring. Maybe some teams only play their starters in off-season leagues, but a lot of teams play everyone because they all paid the same amount for the league. Let's face it, Robinson would have wiped the floor with Independence. Stop holding on to an off-season win against a team missing 6-7 starters and playing everyone. That is just idiotic. How have we come full circle on this topic? You lost to Midlothian. How could Independence be that good if they lost to Midlothian? Should not have even been close! Midlothian lost by 9 to Riverside!

Lol not with Indy genius! So not we didn’t lose to Midlo.

Face it a team named Robinson lost to Indy. Period and FACTS.
You want to say a scrimmage counts the. a winter game counts.

Your embarrassment is showing. Own it and move on and stop making excuses. Or admit nothing counts but the regular season and post season. Stop with this pre/ off season crap.

That's the point he's making: nothing counts but the regular season and post-season. He's arguing that Indy's preseason "win" over basically a Robinson club team means nothing, which I agree with by the way. I am the one who posted earlier that I watched Indy and Robinson play several times this year in person (I have a connection to both schools). Robinson would absolutely destroy Indy at full-strength. It would be like a varsity team playing a JV team, the difference in talent and athleticism is so great between the two teams this year.

No. 8 for robo dominated the x, BF fogo didn’t have a win within the first half.

BF actually won more clamps, but he couldn't get in into his offensive zone because he would turn it over

Agree, I actually have Riverside 3rd in the Potomac District...1. Indy (so much talent) 2. Briar Woods (they will break through) 3. Riverside (lost too much). Should be interesting to see it play out, but I'm pretty confident with my prediction.

Bet ya feel realllll smart after this one wise guy

Battlefield goalie is outstanding and will not let in any soft goals, and handles the ball exceptionally well in transition, but the Robinson offense is potent and adaptable. All their attackmen and midfielders can score. They don't have to rely on one or two to score all their goals.

As a previous post mentioned, faceoffs, as always, are critical in close matchups. Robinson has the advantage in the faceoff X. Battlefield will need to have success there to slow down the Robinson offense.

Robinson shows signs of vulnerability in transition, and with a goalie like #25 that always sees the field and knows where to go with the ball, Battlefield may be able to score a few after saves or ground balls.

The Robinson defense hasn't given up more than 2-3 goals with the first line defense in for quite a while. # 21 for Battlefield is a threat to score from any where, any time, but they will need to win faceoffs / ground ball scrums and get contributions from other goal scorers as well to pull off the upset.

Looking forward to a great game!

Incorrect tuff guy you think you now so much but then make a dumb prediction like that. You know nothing about lacrosse

Ultimately, you are correct, scrimmages do not matter. The big takeaway for coaches is the first half when they roll their starters out to go head to head. Robinson and Riverside scrimmage every spring and Coach Curran and Coach Worek get a good read on how their starters will handle top talent. Robinson was up on Riverside by four at half, but Riverside had early season injuries to their fogo and a pole. A Robinson Riverside game played in June would be a lot of fun.
The Indy graspers that go back to that Fierce Nation braveheart game is such a joke and shows how hard you guys want to be relevant. Four of Robo's six first team all region guys were not there and they were missing other starters as well. Indy lost to five different teams this year and 7 games overall. We all expect you guys to be contenders over the next two years and then you can brag about regular season and post season success.
