Agree. It’s nice to see them being friends and hanging out. I think Alysa’s story about being able to skate without it being all consuming is such an important message.

Her biopic? The circumstances of her birth were a little odd, but other than that, it's mostly just the same as many other figure skaters or niche athletes--lots of tiger parenting from an affluent parent.

It's especially frustrating as we have 3 gold medalists this year in women's skiing (Breezy, Mikaela, and Elizabeth Lemley in moguls).

Mikaela is incredibly beautiful, she's just been toiling away in non-Olympic years piling up more world cup wins than anyone else instead of doing modeling and influencing.

Most of these Olympians have regular jobs. You think Team USA’s Curling players are making big bucks from Curling? Most of the snow sport athletes need to have a regular job to be able to finance their sport.

One of the speed skaters has a master’s in engineering and has a job lined up for after the Olympics. Another one is studying for her MCATs.
