THIS!!!! My dog ate a tampon. I came home found the wrapper. was going to do the peroxide thing and called the vet. They instructed me to bring her in and they induced vomiting a gentler way. If a dog eats anything odd please always call the vet. Their life may depend on it.

EWWWW.

My dog did this all the time. We had systems in place to keep him for getting them but he was a champion diaper and tampon finder. A hound of course. The first time I worried and had his stomach pumped. That's what the vet will tell you to do by the way. $600 later and the next week he did it again and we were all like, whatever. It will be fine.

A little off topic but why don't you flush your used tampons?

You can't flush tampons. Just know that every time you do this you are ruining plumbing in that place.

DO NOT ever induce vomiting without consulting a vet. The offending object has the potential to cause further damage on the way back up...most terrifyingly, it could block the airway.

People like you are the reason my ground floor apartment flooded. Tampon backed it up.


I don't know what hell hole you live in but tampons are made flushable for a reason, I suggest you move to a better house with better plumming

My 50 lb mix has eaten 2 - takes two days to poop it out. As long as they are eating and pooping it should be fine.

My dog has done this more than once. She usually pukes it up, generally at 3 in the morning, on the carpet, and I'll sometimes step in it fumbling to turn on the light and find my glasses.
