Which spelling is better?

- Wren
- Ren

(Yes, a boy)

Ren, no debate. Wren is a woman's name

I disagree that Wren is a girl. I know a boy with that name and think it's great. It's also a Nan for him. Plus if he doesn't like it when he's older he has the full name to fall back on. I love it bc it's like the bird.

Yeah, the old man names are BACK. Preschools are full of Alfred, Alfie, Maurice, Harold. Larry would fit right in.

Except Larrys are icky. Larry Nassar. Ick.

I like Law or Lance, a lot.

Neither is a good name.

Why not use Lawrence just as the full name or Larry or Renzo.

Lawrence and Larry are both awful names. Renzo sounds like a dog's name. Ren was the name of Kevin Bacon's character in Footloose, wasn't it?

Ugh. Ren for a boy. Wren is a girls name. Everyone will think Ren is a girl whose name you spelled incorrectly until they meet him, FYI.

I like Ren for a nickname. It’s modern and fresh with a cool factor, reminds me of the singer Ren. Larry as a nn would be fine if it was the 40s.

The reality also is you can't really control your kid's nicknames. Once they're in preschool they will come home with variations on their name you never expected.
