MCPS lawyers are evil. And they've created a culture of evil.
Imagine if this had occurred at a west county school, instead at one of our schools with a high number of low-income, immigrant families.
I wonder if MCPS would have handled this differently.

Show me the negligence. Paramedics were called. They fired the PE teacher. What more do you want?
The PE teacher was not the only staff member who failed in their job and should have been held accountable that day.
Who else was involved?
The school nurse and admin team.

You want to go after an ES girl's family?
What is wrong with you people? This is a child. One who clearly needs mental health support, not to be sued into oblivion and buried so deep they'll never escape. Let's not lock up a child and condemn them for the rest of their life because of one disregulated mistake. Let's get the girl and her family the support they need to turn things around. And the school should be held responsible for the medical care the injured child will need for the rest of their life
Absolutely agree with going outside is moco. I was thinking a DC lawyer. I think most DC lawyers would eat MCPS lawyers for lunch.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes. She needs to get second or third opinion. I had a lawyer refuse to take my case. He even had the nerve to tell me to let it go because I can’t win. I shopped around and found another lawyer who took the case and I won -big. Lawyers differ tremendously in their skill. She just needs to find a shark.Anonymous wrote:This is horrific. This woman needs better representation.
I only follow the mom's activity on social media. She's young, struggling and clearly full of trauma, so she doesn't do herself a lot of favors. She uses foul language, posts inappropriate content and she overshares.
So I can't tell if the lawyers declined her case because:
1. They viewed her as a risky client due to her demeanor and behavior
2. They were scared to take MCPS on because of the stranglehold MCPS has over our local courts and oversight agencies
3. Some combination of both things
I think her best bet would be to get a lawyer who's OUTSIDE of MoCo and isn't intimidated by the incestuous Montgomery County culture that covers up for each other at every turn. A lawyer from the Baltimore area might be best.
