Subject: Thoughts on WashU ED Pre Med?
WashU has an excellent pre-med program. I know of several graduates who went on to top medical schools.
WashU also has its own medical school, which is a definite plus. Know of recent Cornel undergraduate, who is headed to WashU medical school.

To the outsider the WashU/Emory debate all sounds unhinged. They are as similar as it gets and neither side is doing anything remotely good for their reputations. The insecurity and defensiveness is such a turn-off. If you actually want to help your school on here, I would stop posting.

Really? They outright said they don’t track engagement at all during a presentation we attended a few months ago.
The school announced this month this will be tracking DI for the next cycle.
They were notorious for tracking demonstrated interest up until 4 years ago....then they stopped. It maybe created problems with enrollment management, so they are going back. Certain other top schools do track DI too (Dartmouth, Northwestern, UChicago)....so it's not that unusual.

How could you know this? DI is brand new coming up next year. No history to make this comment.
They claimed in the previous CDS that DI is not considered to make them sound more friendly to underprivileged kids. I’ve always thought they may secretly consider DI anyway.
You think they are reporting DI doesn’t matter but it really does? 🤦♀️
I also cynically think that schools who officially say they don't track DI, secretly do. Reason for my suspicion stems from clicking on their emails, where "http://mx.technolutions.com" (I might be slightly off with the URL) popped up with each click. Whether they use such information in admission decisions is unclear, but they have the information.
