See, then I feel bad for the 3rd. Like what happened? Did the parents not like you and did not use the same letter for you as for your sisters? My friend is a J after two Ks and it just seems unbalanced.

That being said, I'm the second of two Js and we are still upset over a contest we both entered when in elem school....one of us won $50 but the mail/check was just addressed to J. Lastname! My mom thought both of our guesses were ridiculous and had no idea who won, so like Solomon she had us split the money. But that was still a lot back in the 80s!

Ha ha, I am the oldest in a J (girl), K (girl), J (boy) family.

Poor middle sister also is odd name out.

There was sibling teasing about it, but I am sure no one cares anymore. J boy name is also a family name, so there was a reason. I actually think K got the best name anyway.

It's super cheesy to me.

I have 3 with the same initial, and #4 has a different initial. DH and I just picked names we liked. Each time, we had 2 or 3 in mind, and settled on one when we met DC.
If someone met me with my 1st 3 DCs, and thought I was “tacky”, I do not care a whit.

Similar vibe but no rhyming, so it’s not too matchy or twee.

OP here - The names are Naomi, Nola, and Nellie.

Nola and Nellie are way too similar.

OP, my girls and I all have the same first initial. I had boys first and they do not (one is a jr).

They are young adults now and we are all still happy with that. I feel like we share this little bond as women. One is married now and took dh's last name so the names are different now anyways. If you like the names OP, go for it!

Mixed family black mom and white dad....

Kid 1: Douglas Jr. (Doug, or D.J., after dad, kind of a white name)

Denise (Maternal grandma, no race associated necessarily with that name)

Third kid....Mom wants Diamond for a girl or DeAndre for a boy because she likes the names and it is finally her chance to choose, and she wants her African American culture represented.

Dad says I disagree. No more D names unless it matches the others.

Point is another D name fits better. IMO.

Also to OP go for it. Lovely idea.

Good idea for a new thread like Word Game. Three sibling names that start with the same initial. Some tacky, some, cheesy, some accidental, some on purpose, some quite lovely.

Maybe 2, with the fun of it to add the 3rd?

Caveat, no sarcasm over cultural differences.

I don’t care if people think it was intentional. I hate it because I always say the wrong name and half the time I don’t notice I did it.

I have a husband, two boys and a male cat with a human name. None of their names start with the same letter and I still say the wrong name all the time. Just too many male names! 😂

I love that everyone is including their cats and dogs in this. 😂🐕🐈
