One of my kids is a political moderate but didn't like Davidson. It just... wasn't that special.

Davidson removed the requirement over 10 years ago that President of the college had to be Presbyterian. Just happens that current President is an ordained Presbyterian minister. No shocker as school was dominated for decades by wealthy Irish Presbyterians.

among LACs, Davidson is doing nothing particularly ambitious. It’s a good school and does fine getting its students into meaningful (read high salary) careers. It’s nothing special.
