This is the mindset of Republicans in our country. Let that sink in. They are willing to sacrifice your children (and presumably their own?) for their guns.

Link? Reddit is a cesspool. People here wish death on others.

Agree. Let’s face it - people intent on killing will find a way to do it. They couldn’t care less about gun laws.

The terrorist at ODU is a perfect example of this. ODU is a gun free zone. Did that stop this maniac? No.
But since it is a gun free zone, the Lt Col that was murdered was not free to carry a firearm even though he was a decorated veteran. Pathetic.

What is happening in VA is emblematic of the left’s war on law abiding citizens and their embrace for dangerous felons. They are passing laws restricting the rights of citizens to carry and at the same time making it easier for felons and illegal aliens to walk the streets.

Such revisionism. The ODU shooter was a former Natuonal Guard member who learned to shoot through the military. The military thought he was safe enough to be around guns. No one can predict who will be a good guy all their life. Thats why other countries limit guns.

There was a lot to predict with this guy......He was known NOT to be a good guy.

"In 2016, Jalloh was arrested and plead guilty for attempting to provide material support to ISIL, now known as ISIS."

So, not only was he a person convicted as someone with terrorist ties, he was felon that was carrying a firearm.

And, the idiot Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney blames the gun and people that make the laws instead of the terrorist.

The shooter was not legally supposed to be able to purchase a gun. And, he did not purchase it legally. That has been confirmed. He purchased it from a dealer and I think I read it was a stolen gun. However, one report said it was a 22 and another report said it was a glock. So, I am not clear on that issue.

It was a .22 caliber Glock.

Who? Millions of citizens carry guns on any given day in America, including me.

How many shootings has the second amendment stopped?

Around 600,000 defensive gun uses per year according to the CDC study President Obama commissioned.

That wasn’t the question. How many shootings has it stopped?

At least a few hundred thousand. Sorry you don’t like the answer to your question.

You didn’t answer the question. You referred to a report that showed 600,000 people used a gun in attempted self defense. That does not prove those people stopped any shootings. I’m asking you how many shootings have been averted because someone else had a gun on them.

Richard Fierro received an award.

Thanks. So that’s a total of one.

Let’s see, there were two yesterday, so there’s that.
