The kids' consensus (not necessarily their personal favorites) favorite quick weekday meals are:
1) Hummus Bowls - Epicurious recipe with spiced beef, vegetables, served with naan
2) Romaine salad with apples, cheddar, toastedb walnuts, chicken tenders, and honey mustard dressing, and maybe rolls or fresh loaf of bread - we always do dessert on salad night so they love this dinner lol
3) Sweet potato black bean tacos

Their favorite weekend meals are steak and mashed potatoes and beef (ground beef) stroganoff- I saute the mushrooms and onions separately so everyone can mix and match their choices (I do cook the beef with a little of each) and use lots of butter for the egg noodles.

Roast chicken with mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, and a veggie (usually asparagus, broccoli, or sauteed greens)

Homemade pizzas (everyone has their favorite toppings)

Ribs on the slow cooker (takes all day), homemade mac and cheese, veggie side

And everyone loves if I make homemade rolls.

Obviously none of these are particularly quick. We do ribs maybe once a year and the other two about once every 4-6 weeks.

Honestly finding this thread kind of fascinating, mostly because there are some things listed that my household wouldn't touch.

It takes all kinds!

Each member has their own favorites, but when looking for agreement: tacos, pasta with either tomato cream sauce or pesto, homemade pizza, and baked chicken thighs. Thinking individually, DH would say steak, DD would say salmon, DS would say gnocchi and I’d say shrimp. There’s little overlap on these. For example DS and DH won’t touch salmon. DD and DS won’t touch shrimp. DS and I dislike steak. Everybody gets their favorite 3-4x a year.

Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled salmon, side salad (for me, it's more like salad with grilled salmon and a side of fettuccine!)

Pork chops and mashed sweet potatoes with some sort of green vegetable

Butter chicken or lamb curry

I would say:

1.) Spaghetti and meatballs
2.) Pizza made with dough from Trader Joe's
3.) Meatloaf

A few others: mustard baked chicken, fish tacos, pasta with sausage and broccoli

My kids are older teenagers now. When they were younger taco tuesday was a highlight.

Lemon shrimp pasta

Butter chicken (from a simmer sauce) with frozen Naan, side of green beans. Very easy and basic.
