The US allows dual citizenship (see Senator Ted Cruz of Texas who kept his Canadian citizenship until he ran for President and it became an issue). China does not.

At this point the Olympics is meaningless. I don’t even watch.
I stopped watching Olympics years ago when they allowed professional athletes to complete. I do understand it’s tough economics for many, but the games lost their spirit. The US basketball team playing is just crazy.
So whatever, competing for a different country is the next step. Honestly I always thought it was odd when I learned how non US athletes practiced in the US.
I just love all of it and am not bothered by pro players playing. It’s fun to see all the hockey stars together playing.
