Need to add an assualt bike. Assault bikes and rowers have to be the best machines for cardio. But they aren't for people who just like to take it easy and veg out. They are for people who are more serious about getting in shape, losing weight, etc.

If you never rowed before you might consider the hydrow-- it costs more than the concept 2 and has a monthly sub but it has a built in screen and the sub pays for athletes who row on the water with you and give you technique tips, workout structure, and some distracting chatter.

If your plan is to just watch tv then I wouldn't get it but if you are concerned about picking up rowing and/or the machine becoming a large paperweight/drying rack then I'd consider it.

I wonder if you shouldn't just buy a day pass at a gym and try out a bunch of stuff, so you know what kind of equipment you like. Given that it's a pretty big investment I think you should really try it out first.

Go old school with a Nordic Track ski machine. You can get one on FB Marketplace for less than $200, so if after a month you decide you hate it (there's a learning curve), you haven't wasted much money.

I do like my off-brand sunny bike paired with the peloton app. I used to cycle a bunch during covid and really do enjoy the classes. But I don't love what lots of cycling classes does to my body. If I only had one piece of equipment it would definitely be the treadmill.
I also have a rower and it's nice but wouldnt' be my only thing.
My elliptical has been my least used equipment and I regret buying it.
It all boils down to what you enjoy and will stick with.

+1. The nice thing about the treadmill for mindless activity is that you can set the speed. With bikes and rowers I tend to get involved in the story and slack on the excercise.

The rehab therapist I worked with had me using ankle weights to build back strength, last week I pulled them out and paired them with the bike, worked pretty good.

I have a small-footprint treadmill with up to 14% incline. It can go under my desk or be pulled out and used with a bar if I want to go a bit faster.

I love my Peloton bike, but I wouldnt spend the $$ if you dont think you would use the programming.

I used to have a Sole treadmill that I liked a lot for long, inclined walks while watching TV on my own tablet. I moved and only have space for a bike in my new place.
