Do you think that when you get into rooms where people are trying to curry favor, they openly say: I am asking you this favor because you cheated on your wife in my cabin last weekend? No,. The person in power knows this. How would I, as an aide, intervene exactly? Jump up and say: why are you giving him this favor, John? It's all in the background. No one is confessing their crimes and quid pro quos.
