Mine got a $21,800 tuition award from Fordham. We honestly weren’t expecting anything, especially after my student was initially deferred in the EA round.

A friend's daughter is thriving there as a sophomore!

Fordham and Villanova seem comparable excluding Basketball.

Georgetown and Holy Cross draw from a wealthier crowd.

Reputation, ranking, acceptance rate it is far off from Holy Cross.

It's not far off from Holy Cross. Donut hole families are priced out of the others. Fordham gives good merit.

If you're getting significant FA or wealthy and cost isn't a factor, then go ahead and go to the best one you can get into. But it's different for families chasing merit.

OP here. Our cost of attendance is $61k- a couple hundred dollars less than OOS Pitt (with no merit given).

+1 That's a lot lower than some other schools that don't have the benefits of Fordham. Plus it's a beautiful campus.

Since it's in NYC, students can get internships during the school year. That's why Fordham places well on Wall Street and prestigious arts organizations.

Fordham is extremely generous with merit. It often ends up costing around the same or less as many other schools.
