Why kind of stupid tasks?

I’ve seen this also. Sometimes, it’s obvious it’s AI generated

I drafted a really nice email to a client and a senior leader ran it through ChatGPT to make it sound AI written to show we are comfortable using AI. It was clunky and robotic as hell and I thought pretty ill advised to send to a client. Embarrassing, really.

literally everyone?

We’re not allowed to use it at my massive employer. National security field.

Models are in FedRAMP high environments. They're using it at DoD, the FFRDCs, the NSA. Who has banned this?

We’d be fired if we didn’t figure out how to implement AI at work.

I usually draft text and paste in AI and it will polish it up for me. I don’t paste directly but use some of it so it sounds more professional.

It has helped me a lot.

For those who use it to help write reports, policies, procedures, etc… do you change the format or font to make it look less obvious that you used AI to generate the document?

I have people for that. But yes they are expected to make it in our standard format and professional.

It hallucinates far too much and I have to fact check it making it unreliable for many things,.

I don’t rely on it for facts. I’m the expert it’s not telling me something I don’t already know. It’s my secretary.

Definitely! I reformat, take out some bullets, remove emdashes

I also rewrite and edit using text that sounds more like my style.

I’ve used it draft preliminary project plans, policies and procedures, etc. Sometimes the outlines it spits out are good for a draft skeleton.

I am also a pretty good writer. I usually draft documents and use AI to polish.
