ivy league didnt play in 2020 and 2021 otherwise they would have already been in the top 20

Digging into this a little more ...

14 of the top 20 teams from 2022 are still top 20 teams today.

The six teams that have dropped from the top 20 since 2022 are: Denver, Rutgers, Jacksonville, JMU, USC and PA state.

The six teams that have replaced them are: Brown, Navy, Hopkins, Yale, Clemson, Penn.

Using the PP's data, if those numbers are correct, the Baltimore area experienced a net loss of 41% in players on the six teams that transitioned in / out of the top 20 since 2022 (44 in 2022 vs 26 today).

LI area teams experienced a net player gain of 47% on those same teams during the same time period (25 in 2022 vs 47 today).

Let me throw a wrench in this. There are star players on teams outside the top 20 who are better than the bench players on top 20 teams.

The roster limits and NIL will even make this more frequent as well.

We should discuss whether the person who posted this needs help but the stats are still interesting. The big drop in top 5 players from counties close to NYC and Baltimore in recent years is crazy (50%??). The larger drop in top 20 players from the Baltimore area is also shocking.
