Some are, some from France and other countries. The lead monk is aVietnamese-American who went to UT and worked as an engineer at Motorola before becoming a monk.

Do you think they'll walk up Delacarlia Parkway to get to Massachusetts Avenue or is that too roundabout? I live near AU and would rather try to see them on Monday morning than Tuesday at National Cathedral or elsewhere. Just trying to figure out where to stand!

2:30 p.m. – Unity Walk on Embassy Row

4:30–7:30 p.m. – Meditation session at George Washington University’s Smith Center

Thursday, Feb. 12
9:00 a.m. – Walk for Peace continues in Maryland, starting from the Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
10:00–10:45 a.m. – Peace gathering at the Maryland State Capitol

thanks for this, but if we're looking to see them along their route, how do we find out what that is? I'd rather wave to them while they're walking than go join crowds at the Lincoln or Cathedral.

. It’s supposed to be rolling, so they shouldn’t shut from Marymount all the way to Chain Bridge all at once, but yeah, it’s going to be fun. Wonder what drop off at Jamestown will look like.

Honestly more concerned about those of us who need to cross the chain bridge. There's not much room on Canal for cars AND monks walking.

It's odd, DC hasn't put out anything about road closures yet. I admire this walk for sure, but to walk the chain bridge and canal rd which does not have a side walk in rush hour, you'd think DC would put out an alert. Personally, we need to get to Sibley Hospital that morning and need to see if we need another route.

It’s not happening until Tuesday. Today is Saturday.

They out out closures for other events a week ahead.
