Just finished the movie. Found it predictable but watched it for the scenery and bright sunshine

Maybe move this to Entertainment forum if you want feedback or to discuss about the Netflix not the book

OP here, before I make a crossover post I ask myself where am I more likely to interact with the people who will respond in the way I want to be responded? For this one Books felt better.

Did you watch it, op? What did you think?

I did not like the book but I actually liked the movie, I thought it was cute and funny at times.

I watched. It was so different from the book I hated it.

I have read a few by Emily Henry and like each one less and less. I haven't read this one but started the movie and probably won't finish it as it is boring as heck.

It was ok. I'm not sorry I watched it. I had read the book.

I don't think the movie made much sense in terms of why they didn't express feelings earlier. I also did not get where her parents were and why she never visited them in the hometown. Was that explained in the book? Did not care for Poppy's character at all, she was immature with zero growth.

Without it, I would imagine it is hard to understand why they don't just get together. I would be very curious to see what someone who did not read the book thought.

I haven’t read the book. I don’t really get the Alex character’s lack of initiative but I thought Poppy’s character kind of gave a good explanation (feeling like she is “too much.”) I also have been in relationships sort of similar so I didn’t have a hard time filling in gaps.

I like this comment. Makes we want to buy a treadmill.

Same!

I also only got through the first 10 minutes of the movie and found the main actress to be so annoying I gave up.

Aww, that's too bad. That's kind of the point, she's supposed to be annoying.
