It really doesn't matter why she does it or why it offends you or whether you are "too sensitive".
BTW, friends are people you enjoy spending time with, who support you, are comfortable with differences and are kind. Sometimes friends make mistakes and say something hurtful, but that should be a rare occurrence, and there is usually some kind of recognition and repair .
