I also get my hair cut once a year. I'm a natural blonde and it gets darker in the winter and lighter in the summer but I don't dye it. I'd say my hair grows a few inches a year?

I just pop it on the stove. Put a little oil in the pan and when you're heating up the oil, put one kernel in. Once the pops, put the rest of the kernels in and put a lid on. Super easy.

I like bar soap, too. Or if I run out, shampoo will work until I head to the store. And I use conditioner instead of shaving cream.

My city library loans out board games, which is great because we love games but get sick of them after a while.

DH gave up the dryer and hangs everything to dry. I am not patient enough for this, though.

Well this is getting ridiculous.

I've found that I don't need a fax machine. I can live without whiskey because I don't drink it. I don't need nail clippers because I use manicure scissors. I have dropped the use of talcum powder. I don't use denture cream. I have never bought a cord of firewood so I realize that I can live without that.

Summer here in DC even showering daily you need a deodorant! Plus exercising in the heat or a warmer gym you need it! I know all of you have been in an elevator with someone who didn't use deodorant, don't be THAT person who no longer smells their onion pits. Gross 🤢

We don't use dryer sheets or fabric softener. I also did away with the damp-rid in the laundry room. We don't use plastic wrap but do keep tin foil on hand along with plastic sandwich baggies. I also got rid of the extra baking soda in the fridge years ago. I don't use panty liners anymore either. I like finding things I can do without.

I won't buy more dryer sheets. When I got new towels I read not to use them because they hinder absorbency. Who knows. But instead of drying towels separately I stopped using the sheets and don't notice much difference.
