I LOVED this book and totally agree with you.

I'll add My Friends by Frederik Backman

I keep hearing people say this. I found this book so boring I couldn't finish it. Feels like the story is going nowhere.

My Friends was a DNF for me too.

Me too.

Interesting. I'm PP. I listened to it and I adore that narrator so perhaps that helped. Could have also been my mental state at the time (I was working on something that allowed me to dedicate large chunks of time to the book).

Anonymous wrote:All of Naomi Novak books, I keep thinking about the characters and what could be happening to them after the book ends.

She spins off of fairytales that we know but in a very interesting and darker way. So of course it's not just happy ending at the end. There could me more. It's intriguing.

Love her books and agree!!!

Bachman’s books have been in my top 5 for the year, but I couldn’t get through this one either.

It's one where you want a sequel but don't want it. If they left Ryland Grace and only focused on what transpired on earth, I'd read it. But Ryland's ending was perfect and so Andy Weir I don't want it touched. Make sense?

I’m still teary at that ending. It was perfect.

I read this many years ago, but I do remember being very sad that the book was over when I finished it: Waiting by Ha Jin.
